February 4, 2009 – Salar, Inc., an electronic clinical document solutions provider, announced today that it has partnered with Cincinnati-based Streamline Health Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRM) to offer a bundled electronic document management solution to the health care industry. The unified solution enables hospitals to quickly and efficiently complete and archive electronic patient charts.
Under the agreement, Salar’s product, TeamNotes Embedded™, which allows for the creation of electronic clinical documents, will be offered as an extension of Streamline Health’s electronic document management and archiving solution, known as accessANYware. The inclusion of TeamNotes Embedded™ allows hospital records staff using accessANYware to review patient files electronically and quickly correct any discovered chart deficiencies. Any missing paperwork is created, completed, and signed digitally, eliminating the need to print, hand-complete, fax and scan paper documents. The digitized process saves hospital staff time and cost as well as eliminates the use of paper. Salar’s TeamNotes Embedded™ tool is accessed without ever leaving the Streamline Health user interface, creating a simple and efficient user experience.
“We designed TeamNotes Embedded™ to address a variety of medical documentation needs, from basic consent forms to advanced clinical documentation notes, in order to enhance a hospital’s existing Electronic Medical Record system, such as accessANYware,” said Todd Johnson, President, Salar. “Now, hospitals without an EMR in place are able to adopt both Salar and Streamline Health’s technologies in one installation, providing staff with an even stronger tool to improve hospital workflow, productivity, as well as the quality and accuracy of patient clinical records.”
“The addition of Salar’s TeamNotes Embedded™ to Streamline Health’s accessANYware advances the leading-edge nature of both products and offers the health care industry the most complete solutions available for electronic clinical document management and archival,” said Brian Patsy, president and chief executive officer of Streamline Health. “This collaboration will enhance ease of use, improve accuracy and timeliness in maintaining patient records. We believe this will lead to improved medical outcomes, enhanced quality of life for patients, and overall delivery of health care in the most cost-efficient manner possible. This is a national priority and we are pleased to be working with Salar to deliver these efficiencies to the healthcare industry.”
