Salar is realizing an exciting vision that began with our work in the medical community several years ago. With the launch of our Compliance+ Advanced Clinical Productivity Suite , we have transformed traditional paper documentation of inpatient services to 'virtual paper'-delivering all the convenience, speed, automation and information-sharing that integrated information systems and wireless access can provide in order to streamline business processes that are in desperate need of reengineering.

We are proud of our ability to take a previously error-prone process of paper documentation that was inefficient, lacking in accuracy and standardization and create a productive, novel approach to information sharing in real-time that truly drives physician efficiencies and hospital revenue.

We are grateful to the many physicians, hospital administrators and executives who worked by our side to make this a reality. Thank you.

Our Compliance+ Advanced Clinical Productivity Suite makes it possible for physicians to continue to use handwritten notes at the point-of-care, but now do so on a wireless, Tablet PC using "digital ink". Since physicians already know how to document, we did not attempt to reinvent their process, but instead to mirror it with technology instead. Handwritten notes are converted into electronic files that can be shared in real-time. So, the entire physician team tending to a patient can access these notes, along with the members of the hospital medical records group-as the notes are being created. This has never before been possible. Now, the HIM can code the patient visit concurrently (and remotely) and electronically query the physician for clarification…a process that can increase a hospital's inpatient revenues by one to three percent.

Physicians are enthusiastic about our products because it allows them to continue practicing just as they do today-by hand-writing notes-rather than forcing them to change their style of work. Hospitals are excited because now they have the opportunity to identify missing or incomplete documentation so they can affect its final outcome. And, all of us at Salar are thrilled because we have applied our technology expertise to solving a pressing financial problem for our nation's medical institutions with an approach that incorporates the behavioral preferences of the people-the physicians-whose very activities drive the business process in the first place.

We are delighted with the initial reaction and early marketplace acceptance of the Compliance+ Advanced Clinical Productivity Suite. If you are an executive at a medical institution and would like to see how it can increase your annual revenues, I invite you to contact us for a consultation. If you are a skilled professional looking for a dynamic work environment, I invite you to send us your resume. And, if you are a physician already using our solutions and have ideas to share with us, I encourage you to call us.

Sincerely,

Todd Johnson
President

"One of the most counterproductive aspects of a hospital is the amount of time spent looking for records, tracking down orders and coordinating healthcare services among various departments. Successfully managing resource utilization requires a coordinated effort among dozens of departments. Hospitals are making significant investments in technology that provides two key benefits: real-time and portable access to patient information."
