Customer Implementation Specialist


Summary

As members of the Implementation Team (I Team), Implementation Specialists are responsible for project planning, system configuration, implementation and training physician group practices and client IT personnel on  Salar clinical software and ancillary applications. Working directly with Hospital IT, physicians and clinical staff you will help develop and implement the reengineering of current workflow practices to facilitate the successful conversion to Salar's applications.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with client's hospital project staff and key users to ensure implementation is moving in accordance with contract deliverables and project timeline.
  • Educate and guide Client's Core team and end-users on software configuration and front end functionality to ensure proper utilization of the Salar software and ancillary applications.
  • Exercise independent judgment to organize and plan Client requirements-gathering sessions to facilitate implementations for specific clinical practices and associated workflow and procedures.
  • Document and communicate requirements for changes, enhancements and/or new features.
  • Attend Client and internal meetings, as requested, to provide subject matter expertise on the Salar software and/or ancillary applications.
  • Manage multiple priorities independently (i.e. customer sessions, follow-up questions, internal/external support, etc) while providing a high level of service and customer friendliness.
  • Develop good working relationship with Clients and other Salar employees.
  • Receive training and become proficient on Salar's Form Designer/Deployment Tools & processes.
  • Travel nationally. Out of office requirements may be 80 -90% annually.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Education, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience working directly with physician and/or nursing staff.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and people skills.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Experience training software end-users.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • RN, LVN, CRNP or clinical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical/physician workflow,  patient care charts and patient histories.
  • Knowledge of laboratory results and medication ordering in a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of Evaluation and Management Coding.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 coding.
  • Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners.
  • Relational DB familiarity;  Ability to gather data and prepare reports using MS Access, MS Excel, or SQL.
  • Formulation of recommendations to physicians for improving documentation and billing habits.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Visio.
