John Depierro

Mr. Depierro was Executive Vice President for Eclipsys, a publicly held corporation from 1997 through 2007.  Mr. Depierro was also Chairman of Eclipsys’ Pricing Committee which established the metrics and fees for all of the company’s software products and services.   Additionally, Mr. Depierro was responsible for the company’s international business, which included hospitals in the U.K, Germany, Australia, Singapore and Japan.  From 1994 through 1997, Mr. Depierro was Vice President for the Healthcare Information Systems subsidiary of Alltel Corp. This subsidiary was the result of the acquisition of Technicon Data Systems and Medical data Technology by Alltel. This subsidiary was subsequently sold to Eclipsys in 1997.  From 1980 through 1994 Mr. Depierro was President of Medical Data Technology(MDT), founded by Mr. Depierro.  MDT was formed to provide remote hosting and outsourcing to Hospital clients. MDT was acquired by Alltel Healthcare Information System in 1994.  From 1972 through 1980 Mr. Depierro was Vice President of Technicon Data Systems (TDS), which was the pioneer in developing clinical systems software for hospitals.


 

John Hilgenberg

Mr. Hilgenberg has held numerous C-level positions during his career and has been advising entrepreneurial companies since 1986. As a strategic business consultant, he serves as a "CEO extender" in organizations that, due to full-time staffing constraints or rapid growth, require further resources and experience to assist in key strategic decisions. In addition to serving clients, he advises governmental and educational entities on entrepreneurial issues and has served on several community and corporate boards. He holds degrees from Yale University and the Darden Graduate Business School of the University of Virginia.


 

L. Barney Johnson

Mr. Johnson has focused his 40-year career at the president and chief executive officer level at various hospitals and health care organizations around the country. He served as president of Winter Haven Hospital in Florida for eight years, chief operating officer in two Holy Cross Health System hospitals for eight years, and president and chief executive officer of Harbor Health System Corporation for 18 years. During that time, he also served as vice president of Helix Health Inc. as a result of its merger with Harbor Health. He also held a position on the Executive Council of MedStar Health. Mr. Johnson has served on numerous boards, including the Maryland Hospital Association, the American Hospital Association's Regional Policy Board, and SunHealth, Inc. of North Carolina. He currently serves on several boards and is an associate with Starizon in Keystone, Colo. He holds a degree from the University of South Florida and a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota.


 

Stephen C. Schimpff, M.D.

Dr. Schimpff was the chief executive officer of the University of Maryland Medical Center, the academic flagship of a six-hospital system from 1999 until his retirement from that position in 2003. From 1985 to 1999 he was the medical system's executive vice president and chief operating officer. In 1982, Dr. Schimpff, who is board certified as a medical oncologist and as an infectious diseases expert, became the first director of the newly created University of Maryland Cancer Center. Previously, he was head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Head of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology for the Baltimore Cancer Research Center of the National Cancer Institute. He served for seven years on the Board of Governors of the National Institute's of Health Warren Grant Magnuson Clinical Center and was chair for the final three years. He is a Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology in the University of Maryland School of Medicine and holds an adjunct appointment as professor in the School of Pharmacy. He has published more than 200 scientific articles based on his research on infections in cancer patients and is the editor of three major textbooks. Dr Schimpff obtained his medical degree and did his medical residency at Yale School of Medicine.


 

Todd Johnson

Todd Johnson has been the president of Salar, Inc. since 1999. Mr. Johnson co-founded Salar, Inc. after graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science. Mr. Johnson focuses on long-term strategic relevance for Salar’s products and services. Mr. Johnson has built numerous collaborative agreements with industry partners to develop products and services that promote end-user acceptance, strong financial performance and improved patient safety.


 

Meir Gottlieb

Meir Gottlieb co-founded Salar, Inc. in 1999 with Todd Johnson and Gabe Weisz. In his current role as vice president of product development, Mr. Gottlieb works closely with clinicians to define products that are uniquely tailored to their clinical environment. Mr. Gottlieb graduated from Cornell University College of Engineering with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science.


 

Gabriel Weisz

Gabriel Weisz is the third co-founder of Salar, and today is its vice president of technology. In this role, Mr. Weisz designs system architecture, manages development cycles, and oversees application releases. He also assists with implementation at customer sites, acts as Salar’s primary liaison to the Microsoft Partner Program, and manages most vendor relationships. Prior to joining Salar, Mr. Weisz worked at numerous start-up companies, such as Jump Networks. Mr. Weisz graduated Cum Laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
